RESPONDING TO A SPEECH REPROACH

This article examines how linguistic references are used by students of Uzbekistan based on certain conceptual bases. On the one hand, an attempt is made to test the students’ ability to recognize and produce complaints and, on the other hand, to identify student errors and their causes. The study showed that most students have serious difficulties applying the concept of reprimand. In addition, they show a greater tendency to use other related speech acts.
