EVALUATION OF THE PERFORMANCE OF THREE GENOTYPES OF MAIZE (ZEA MAYS L.) CULTIVATED AT DIFFERENT PLANTING DISTANCES IN YIELD AND ITS COMPONENTS
Abstract
Studies are being carried out at Karmat Ali, University of Basrah's Agricultural Research Station, College of Agriculture. In silty loam soil during the spring agricultural season 2022, to evaluation of the performance of three genotypes of maize (Al-Maha, IPA-5018, Bhooth-106) cultivated at different planting distances in yield and its components , of different planting distances between seeds (15, 20, 25, 30) cm, which gave plant densities of (95238, 71428, 57142, 47619) plants ha-1, on the yield and its components of three genotypes of maize (Zea mays L.).
